Although the Bistro serves French cuisine, our catering group can create International, Regional or Themed Cuisines.

Catering Chef, Darlene Boline Moseng is an Honors Graduate of The Restaurant School in Philadelphia, and has worked for the top catering companies in Philadelphia and Boca Raton, Florida. Cooking for the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Rick Santorum, Elizabeth Dole and Arlen Specter is just one aspect of her culinary catering experiences. After graduation, Darlene embarked on a culinary adventure, cooking for the Senior Executives of a large Pharmaceutical company, while also managing a high end catering business, and cooking classes within her Skippack, PA home. After many years of catering, Darlene decided to embark on the next chapter of her life: a French bistro.

A la Maison Bistro in the heart of Ardmore, PA opened to the public, January 2009. It is a bustling, “bring your own bottle” comfort food bistro, that offers a little escape to France. Thankful for the opportunity that it has extended to her, Darlene’s true passion is to have a place to foster older children and mentor them through the tough, young adult years. Her dream is to start a foundation, “Mommas House”, which she hopes to fund through her successful restaurant and catering endeavors. In the short time that Darlene has been living on the Main Line, she has been very generous with her talent. She catered the “Girls Night Out” at Saks Fifth Avenue, benefiting the Laurel House, with just a moment’s notice for 150 women. And, is putting the finishing touches on the menu for the “Mommy’s Light” charity benefit at the Swains home in December. Generous to a fault, Darlene has helped many other organizations through donations from A la Maison, benefiting local schools, animal shelters, and women’s and children’s’ causes throughout the Delaware Valley.
